IMPORTANT TO DETERMINE IF THIS IS THE RIGHT PROPERTY FOR YOU:
This house is on a block with old and new. You will see some run down homes and newly renovated homes. There is a corner store on the opposite corner of the property where neighbors tend to loiter. Some guests have felt uncomfortable with this. Some guests have not been comfortable with this area at night. Other guests have been perfectly fine with the environment. If you have lived in a major (ex NYC, SF, ATL, MIA) city before, this will be no surprise. If you are from elsewhere, we just want to make sure you feel safe here. We lived here with our young kids and felt safe but everyone is different!

This is the top floor unit of a duplex (bottom floor is separate residence). You will have the entire top floor to yourself. We also rent out the bottom floor so if you have a larger group and are looking to rent both units to have to yourself then check out our other listing or message us.

If you love old historic homes with architectural details then you will love this place. We have gently renovated to preserve the beautiful old charm but also upgraded the bathrooms and kitchen to the modern amenities that we all love. We have decorated the space to make it feel like you are living in the 1920’s. We love it and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We love historic Springfield which is located in Jacksonville adjacent to the downtown area. It is centrally located so that you can explore all Jacksonville has to offer. Springfield itself has 3 breweries, several local restaurants, and all the historic neighborhood charm.

There is a large park system called the Henry J. Klutho Park. This is a great park that has a children’s playground, a dog park, frisbee golf course, baseball fields, and many others. There are views of downtown from this park so go have a picnic and enjoy the scenery.

Since Springfield is centrally located, you can get to most points of interest in less than 15 minutes by car.

This unit is located on the 2nd floor so you will have to climb a flight of stairs.
